Job Qualifications • Teach courses and supervise Master’s theses in English. • Non-native Chinese speakers must demonstrate an intermediate or higher level of proficiency in Mandarin Chinese. • Research expertise must align with one of the following areas: Contemporary Visual Arts, Intercultural Studies, Gender Studies, and Cultural Policy. • Preference will be given to candidates with relevant professional experience in art-related institutions, such as art museums or cultural venues. • Under university policy, new full-time professors are required to undertake administrative duties for a minimum of 3 years. • Faculty members must participate in university administrative meetings in Mandarin Chinese. • The initial two years of employment will serve as an evaluation period, with the possibility of contract renewal subject to formal assessment. • Compensation will be commensurate with standard wages for full-time faculty at Taipei National University of the Arts.

5. Expected Courses to be Taught: • Critical Theories and Creative Thinking • Art Marketing Strategies or Cultural and Art Organization Management • Cultural Politics and Cultural Policy

6. Academic Eligibility • Experience as a professor at the Assistant Professor level or above (must be able to provide certification). • Or, possessing a doctorate degree or an equivalent academic certificate, along with a track record of academic excellence and scholarly publications.

8. Attachments (will not be returned) • Academic resume (including academic experience, Master’s and Doctoral theses title, published works, areas of expertise, and reference contact). • Plan for future research and 2 outlines of proposed courses mentioned above (must be written in English). • Copy of the academic certification of the highest degree attained (if the diploma is issued by a non-Taiwanese institution, verification by a ROC Taiwan overseas representative office is required). • Copy of the employment certification as a professor at the Assistant Professor level or above (not required if applying without said experience). 9. Submission Guidelines • Applicants are required to submit the abovementioned documents by postal mail, postmarked no later than Friday, May 10th, 2024 to “Assistant Hsu, International Master of Arts Program in Cultural and Creative Industries, Taipei National University of the Arts, No. 1 Xueyuan Road, Beitou District, Taipei 112” (please indicate “Application for Full-Time Faculty Position” on the envelope).
