International publisher, Brill, is currently preparing to compile and publish the Encyclopedia of Taiwan Studies. Professor Michael Hsiao (Academia Sinica) is the Editor-in-Chief. It is anticipated that The Encyclopedia of Taiwan Studies will be complete and available online by 2022.
Dr. Ming-yeh Rawnsley (SOAS, University of London) is one of the scholars who serve on the advisory board for the subsection on films. If you are interested in writing one of the entries at the bottom of this document, please contact Dr. Rawnsley (ijts.office@eats-taiwan.eu) with a 1-page CV and the entry that you would like to write on by 31 October 2020. You will be contacted individually after the deadline about further details.
Generally speaking, each entry may be between 1000-3000 words (to be discussed between the contributor and Dr. Rawnsley). The entry should include an overview of the scholarship (including both Chinese and English sources) related to the subject. Each contributor will be granted free access to the Encyclopedia when it is published. Thanks very much for your attention and we look forward to hearing from you.
