The 2020 International Conference on the History of Christian Protestant Missionaries
September 24-25, 2020
Conference Goal:
In honor of missionary contributions to Taiwan, Changhua Christian Hospital Historical Museum collaborates with Asia Pacific Studies, University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN), Department of History, Tung Hai University, Department of History, National Chung Shing University, and Presbyterian Church in Taiwan(PCT)to host the 2020 International Conference on the History of Christian Protestant Missionaries.

In addition to the topics mentioned above, other contributions related to the study of Taiwanese Christian culture, or the study of missionary history not limited to Taiwan, inter-denominational missionary issues of evangelicals, and contemporary challenges of Christian culture and history are all welcome.
Type of Article:
A. Research Article: Contributions for academic papers are welcome.
B. Case Sharing: Seminaries, churches, literature and history workers, and missionaries to submit reports on case works are also welcome.
Language: Either Chinese or English are welcome to submit.
Submission Guidelines:
1. Abstract Review:
a. Submission Deadline: 24:00, Sunday, June 30th, 2020.
b. Notification of Acceptance: From June, 2020
c. Submit your abstract to cchmnchu@gmail.com. The subject used in the email submission should be named in the format of "Abstract of the International Conference on the History of Christian Protestant Missionaries 2020." The filename of the abstract should be named in the format of "Abstract-Subject Number-Paper Name-Author." (e.g., Abstract-1-Xiamen Dictionary and Gospel Mission-Wang Xiaoming)
The abstract submission instructions are as follows:
i. Abstracts must be written in either Chinese or English.
ii. Please submit abstracts in Microsoft Word format.
iii. Abstracts should not exceed 500 words
iv. Keywords limited to 5.
v. Contributors complete the submission process after receiving an email response. If you do not receive a reply, please call to confirm.
vi. Every abstract will undergo a double blind peer review. The results of the review will be announced on the official website of Department of History, Tung Hai University at http://history.thu.edu.tw/zh-tw/, and Department of History, National Chung Shing University at http://www.history.nchu.edu.tw/ on Monday, June 1, 2020.
vii. If your submission is accepted, you will receive an acceptance confirmation e-mail.
2. Full Paper Submission
a. Full Paper Submission (including Chinese and English abstracts): 24:00,
Monday, August 31, 2020.
b. Send by email. Please send your full text to cchmnchu@gmail.com.
c. Please send the submission with the subject of "Full text of the International Conference on the History of Christian Protestant Missionaries 2020." The file of the full text should be labled as "Full text-Subject Number-Paper Name-Author." (e.g., Full text-1-Xiamen Dictionary and Gospel Mission-Wang Xiaoming)
3. Power Point Submission for present
a. Deadline for Submission of PPT: 24:00, Thursday, September 10, 2020
b. Send by email. If the file is too large to attach, it can be sent on a CD. Please send your PPT file to cchmnchu@gmail.com.
c. Please send the submission with the subject of "PPT of the International Conference on the History of Christian Protestant Missionaries 2020." The file of the full text should be labled as "PPT-Subject Number-Paper Name-Author." (e.g., PPT-1-Xiamen Dictionary and Gospel Mission-Wang Xiaoming)
d. At least one author of each accepted paper is required to register for the conference and present the paper.
4. Paper Acceptance and Publication
a. Completed Manuscript Deadline: 24:00, Monday, February 1, 2021.
b. All full papers sent for conference proceedings will be published after amendment and review by the peer reviewers.
