The Northern Institute of Taiwan Studies is pleased to announce our upcoming cultural events, generously supported by the Ministry of Culture Spotlight Taiwan Project and the Institute for the Study of the Asia Pacific (ISAP).
This year, the 2022 NorITS Taiwan Festival will bring you 2 strands of events. In Strand (I) Feb. 25-26, we will host the renown Taiwan eco-writer, Liao Hung Chi, to talk about his works on cetacean writing and oceanic literature. We also will be screening Taiwan’s recent eco-documentary, Whale Island, and invite its director, Hung Chia-chu, to join our Q&A session. Events will be hosted in a hybrid format. Author’s talk, book chapter reading and Director’s Q&A session will be delivered both in physical venues and live-streaming. However, due to copy right issue, the film screening only takes place at physical venue and will not be livestreamed.
