The SOAS Centre of Taiwan Studies warmly welcomes you to join ourTaiwan Studies Summer School 2025, held over six days from 27 June to 5 July 2025 in London.

This year’s programme features:

• 13 invited speakers from Taiwan, the UK, Europe, Australia, and the US

• Academic lectures on gender, cinema, migration, political movements, energy transitions, and Taiwan’s international relations

• 2 thematic roundtables including Women in Taiwanese Cinema and Doing a PhD on Taiwan Across Academia.

• Taiwan Studies Student Symposium showcasing early career research from across the world

• 8 film screenings, including Super Citizen Ko, Girls’ School, and Silenced Sunrise, with in-person Q&As
