The Research Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences (RIHSS), funded by Taiwan’s Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), was established in 2012. RIHSS’s goals are to support academic research, provide services to academic communities, cultivate early-career scholars, and promote the development of the humanities and social sciences. 【Eligibility】Taiwan nationals (Republic of China citizens), foreign nationals, and Hong Kong and Macao residents who have a doctoral degree in the humanities and social sciences, or prospective Ph. Ds who will pass an oral defense of the dissertation before the application deadline. All fields in humanities and social sciences are welcome. Non-native speakers please indicate the fluency level of Mandarin Chinese. Future research interests concerning one of the following topics are in particular encouraged: “sustainable development and environment humanities”, “multiculturalism and social diversity”, “international political economy”, “social media, democracy, and national security”.
