Fwd: U Zurich and U Nottingham 2024 Joint Conference CfP "Changing dynamics in geopolitics: Implications for Taiwan" (submission deadline 1/26)

Please submit your abstract of no more than 500 words to trhconf2024@gmail.com along with the name of each presenter, their affiliation, and a short bio (of no more than 150 words). The deadline for submitting abstracts is 26 January 2024. Notifications of acceptance will be sent out by 23 February 2024; if selected, the deadline for submitting final conference papers (6,000 words) will be 24 May 2024.

Selected conference papers will be considered for publication in an edited volume that will be published as part of Palgrave’s Taiwan and World Affairs series or a special issue in the

Journal of Contemporary China. The conference organisers will provide up to three nights’ accommodation in Nottingham for contributors. The conference committee especially welcomes submissions from postgraduate research students (PhD candidates), and early career scholars. The conference will cover travel costs of up to GBP500 for postgraduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and other scholars who have not yet secured a permanent academic post.
